Commitment to Safety, Quality Control, and the Environment
Understanding customers is key at the Reedsburg plant. Ongoing communication helps employees apply their design and component optimization capabilities to meet each customer's specific needs. Reedsburg received QS-9000 and ISO 14001 certification and in 2003, will be certified to TS-16949. In addition, Reedsburg has implemented a STOP - Safety Training Observation Program. This initiative focuses on increasing observational skills, includes safety audits and rewards people for following safe procedures. Commitment to Education and the Community The "Get in GEAR - Grede Education at Reedsburg" program began in 1992 when the plant established an on-site Learning Center that is available as a resource to all employees. This state-of-the-art facility includes a fully equipped training room, computer lab, library, and three full-time facilitators. The Learning Center is used for personal development as well as job-related training including safety, quality, supervisory skills, environmental specifications, and more. | |||||
