Purchased in 1920, Grede Foundries' Liberty plant specializes in ductile iron castings with complex internal shapes, close dimensional requirements, and deep pockets associated with lightweight, ribbed designs. Volumes range from low to medium levels of production. Liberty Foundry has an extensive core-making department staffed by personnel with specialized experience in complex-cored castings. | |||

Commitment to Safety, Quality Control, and the Environment
Liberty Foundry has received QS-9000 and ISO 14001 certification. Recognized as an environmentally-conscious Company, this Grede facility recycles 80% of it's waste material into beneficial reuse projects. The plant is particularly proud of its record for safety and cleanliness and for meeting shipping date commitments as promised to customers. Commitment to Education and the Community Students have a choice of three internship programs at this site: Project Engineering, Safety, and Maintenance. Liberty Foundry is involved with YMCA and Goodwill Industries, and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. | |||||
